So Friends.. As we've heard that Google India has announced the official lollipop update for the android one phones (Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream UNO and Karbonn Sparkle V) , and confirmed that more users will get the update on weekly basis.. (Though almost no android one user has recieved it).

Most Probably the update will be distributed to maximum android one users on upcoming Wednesday (as Wednesday is the Google Policy for releases)..

You may be running on cyanogenmod 12 custom rom or The android one lollipop rom of Indonesian firmware to taste the sweetness of lollipop before official update..

To install official Update, this is the right time to unroot your Android One device, flash stock Android One ROM and install stock recovery on the device over the custom recovery..

This is the tutorial to unroot your Android One device, flash stock Android One ROM and install stock recovery:-

1. Install latest drivers for Canvas A1 on your PC. You can download it from official micromax website.. or from here..

 2. Download stock recovery ROM file and SP FLASH TOOL from the links given below:-

(For SP FLASH TOOL)


3. Extract the following zip files respectively..
















4. Inside the Flash tool Folder open the flash tool application.. Don,t Forget to open it as Administrator.
















5. Locate The Scatter Loading File and select MT_6582_Android_Scatter.txt found inside the Stock ROM Folder you just extracted .. Remember that it is a text file.
















6. create backup of your important data on the phone, (Contacts, photos, etc. )

7. Now remove the battery and sd card of the phone.. Do not insert battery .

8. Now connect the phone to your PC.

9. On the application, change the option Download Only to "Firmware Upgrade".
















10. Now hit the START button on the application..

11. Wait for total procedure.. The Green LED Flash indicator on the phone indicates that the procedure is complete..

12. CONGRATS! You Havesuccessfully unrooted your device and installed the official ROM on your Android One Phone. You are now eligible for the OTA updates by google in upcoming future.. :) :)

    i rooted my phone in early February... i was afraid because ota updates were being released by google...thanx for you help...it helped me alot in uprooting my Micromax canvas a1 :)

    Hey Prabhat, this method works for all 1st gen android one phones..
    You can unroot your sparkle v with this method.. :)

      Unrooting my canvas a1. There's no progress at all. It's been 20 mins and nothing's happening on the phone or the flash tool. How long does this usually take? TY.

      Sorry for late reply buddy... please make sure that you have adb drivers installed on your pc otherwise the phone will not get detected..

    The usb connects and disconnects..So Can I insert battery and follow the procedure? How long it takes to turn to green LED flash? Does the LED glow red before?

      don't insert battery.. when usb disconnects then click on flash button.. led doesn't glow red before . . .
